Catalina 25 Restoration Project Complete

Well, after several weekends worth of non-stop boat work, I am ready to put a stamp on this beautiful Catalina 25.  If you look back on my previous posts under the label "sailing," you can see the metamorphosis this boat has undergone in a short amount of time.

The boat has new paint on the hull, a fresh boot stripe, and the keel has been refinished and painted.  I used Interlux ACT ablative antifouling paint below the waterline.  All new bulkheads on the interior and teak cleaned and oiled.  I also installed a new 12k lb. stainless bow eye with backing block. The boat also comes with a freshly painted tandem axle trailer with hydrolic brakes.  The deck and rigging are outfitted with tons of extras to allow the boat to be sailed single handedly, including cabin top mounted boom traveler.  The mainsail and jib are used but serviceable.  The cushions are in need of recovering, but I have enough cushions to do the job and I could instruct someone on how this could be done in a single afternoon.  The rudder is a kick-up style.

I'm only asking $4000 obo for this beautiful boat.  That is a total steal of a deal.  All she really needs to go sailing is a capable sailor, a little love, and a small 6 hp outboard motor with bracket.  You can purchase a used motor for very little.

  2. could you please send me pictures and information on how you mounted your traveler to the cabin of your Catalina 25? Did your boat have a pop-top?

Thanks and have a blessed evening,
