Sometimes presentation really just doesn't matter much. It's about simple goodness and this is a perfect example. I mean, who even needs the fruit or the cake?? Anyway, this is an easy dessert or breakfast treat you can pull together in about 5 minutes. The pound cake I use here came from Fresh Market. I'm not a huge fan of the place really, but their French Vanilla pound cake is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Top it with fresh fruit and homemade whipped cream. To make homemade whipped cream, just take about 1.5 cups of heavy cream, a couple of drops of vanilla extract, and about two - four tablespoons of granulated sugar depending on your taste. Combine ingredients in a mixer. Using the whisk attachement, mix on high until peaks form. Plate ingredients and you're ready to serve and enjoy.
