In the state of Alabama, fly fishing is hardly considered a "mainstream" sport, in spite of some great fly fishing venues. That said, there's no shortage of pesky flies and that makes the folks selling this gadget ingenious. I have no idea who invented this and I don't care. I just prefer to think something like this could have only come from Alabama. I mean honestly, I think this is as close as most of the folks here would ever come to wielding a fly rod, Lord bless 'em. When I saw it, I just had to take picture of what I am now calling the Alabama Fly Rod.
